GPL Week 30: Hearts beat Legon Cities to go top ahead of Super Clash

Accra Hearts of Oak beat Legon Cities 2-1 in a Ghana Premier League  (GPL) Week 30 game to go top of the table.

The Phobians who were playing as visitors to Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium picked up all the three maximum points.

Kojo Obeng Jnr opened the scoring in the 28th minute after Daniel Afriyie Barnie went past two players to set him up.

That set the tone for another as Fredrick Ansah Botchway hit in a low drive in the 37th minute to make it 2-0 to Hearts.

Legon Cities pulled one back through a Victorien Adebayor free kick and the first half ended 2-1.

The second half produced no goals and Hearts who play Kotoko on Sunday are on top of the Ghana Premier League table with 56 points same as their fiercest rivals.
